INTRODUCTION
Biozymes are natural products made from things like seaweed, amino acids, vitamins, and good microorganisms. They help plants grow better by improving soil health and helping plants absorb nutrients more efficiently. Farmers are now using biozymes to reduce chemical fertilizers while still getting good yields in vegetables like tomato, brinjal, okra and chili.
Biozyme is an eco-friendly non-toxic profitable growth stimulant that contributes to the plant physiological system at lower concentration and is known to be rich in precursor of auxin and cytokinin, an enzyme and hydrolysed protein is a storehouse of natural nutrients found in the Ascophyllum nodosum Norwegian seaweed.
ROLE OF BIOZYMES
1) Enhance Soil Health: They promote the growth of beneficial soil microorganisms, which contribute to soil structure, fertility, and disease resistance. the soil, making them more accessible to plant roots.
2) Improved Plant Growth: Biozymes provide essential nutrients to plants, resulting in healthier, stronger growth and increased yields.
3) Increased Nutrient Uptake: Biozymes help break down complex nutrients in the soil, making them more accessible to plant roots.
4) Sustainable Solutions: Biozymes contribute to a more sustainable approach to agriculture by reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers and promoting soil health.
5) Unlocking Nutrients: Biozymes play a crucial role in breaking down complex organic matter, making nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium readily available to plants.
6) Microbial Powerhouses: Biozymes are enzymes produced by microorganisms like bacteria and fungi. These enzymes act as catalysts, speeding up biochemical reactions within the soil and plant systems.
Efficacy of Biozymes on Vegetable Crops
1) Increased Yield: By providing readily available nutrients and promoting efficient nutrient uptake, biozymes lead to increased vegetable yields, maximizing the harvest and economic returns for farmers.
2) Improved Plant Health: They can enhance plant health by boosting resistance to diseases and pests. By promoting a healthy soil microbiome, biozymes strengthen the plants' natural defenses.
3) Reduced Fertilizer Use: Biozymes effectively reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers, lowering production costs and minimizing environmental impact.
4) Environmental Sustainability: Reduced pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
5) Economic Benefits: Lower fertilizer costs and increased crop yields.
6) Enhanced Crop Quality: Improved nutrient content and flavor of vegetables. 7) Improved Soil Health: Increased organic matter and microbial activity.
7) Reduced Pest and Disease Incidence: Biozymes promote a healthy soil microbiome, which helps to suppress pest and disease infestations, reducing the need for chemical pesticides
APPLICATION Method
1) Soil Application: Biozymes can be applied directly to the soil, either as a granular formulation or a liquid solution. Soil application ensures that the enzymes are distributed evenly throughout the root zone.
2) Foliar Spray: Some biozymes can be applied as a foliar spray to the leaves of plants. Foliar application allows for direct absorption of enzymes by plants, promoting growth and nutrient uptake. (1.5 -2.0 ml/l of water).
3) Seed Treatment: Certain biozymes can be applied as a seed treatment to enhance seed germination and early plant growth. This practice can improve the establishment of seedlings and boost overall crop performance.

REDUCTION OF FERTILIZER DOSE ON VEGETABLE CROPS
- Use of biozymes reducing the dose of fertilizers on vegetable crops.
- Optimizing fertilizer use not only reduces costs but also minimizes the environmental impact, such as soil degradation, water pollution, soil fertility.
- By using biozymes the effect of synthetic fertilizers is reduced by approximately 25-50%.
- Using biozymes in vegetable crops increases production approximately10-15%.

FACTORS INFLUENCING BIOZYMES EFFICACY
1) Soil Type: The type of soil, whether sandy, loamy, or clay, influences enzyme activity and nutrient availability. Biozymes are more effective in soils with good drainage and aeration.
2) pH: The pH of the soil also affects enzyme activity. Different biozymes have optimal pH ranges for their effectiveness, and soil pH should be adjusted accordingly.
3) Temperature: Temperature plays a significant role in enzyme activity. Most biozymes function optimally within a specific temperature range, and extreme temperatures can reduce their effectiveness. (20-35 ℃)
